Beginners MMA Course

NOTICE: The gym is reopening April 12th 2021. Due to ongoing restrictions we are unable  to deliver a Beginners Course in our usual format. Therefore we now have a continuing MMA Fundamentals Program running for beginners to join at anytime. These classes are open to all new members and cover the same areas as the beginners course, the main difference is there is no 6 week commitment and 5 potential classes per week means more flexibility. Over a period of regular attendance you will learn all the basics required to move on to more advanced training.

A 6 week beginners course, specifically designed to cover all the fundamental areas of Mixed Martial Arts. A great opportunity to train alongside other beginners in a safe and friendly environment under professional coaching.

There are 2 classes per week, a Kickboxing class (Mon 8pm) and a Grappling Class (Wed 8pm).

In the Kickboxing Class you will learn all the basic punches and kicks, along with moving and defending. The classes will involve pad work and light contact drills.

In the Grappling Class you will learn take downs, ground positions, transitions and basic submissions. The classes will involve movement exercisestechnique and live drills.

By the end of the course you will be able to utilise the fundamental techniques in live sparring and be ready to take part in more advanced classes.
